Emma has been fortunate to gain experience across a number of sectors since graduating from The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture at The Robert Gordon University in 2005. She has experience in dealing with large national and multinational clients through a number of procurement routes.

The first part of her career provided extensive experience in the commercial sector, developing a number of sites across the UK, with a repeat client. Projects principally involved the development of purpose built business units and involved developing a standard building typology, to create a bespoke model to suite local context. Responsible for up to six projects concurrently, as they moved from initial design stage towards site, she was able to work with and lead a small design team of professional consultants and directly liaise with the end user and contractor client.

She has developed a sound knowledge of technical and contractual matters and procedures with involvement in a range of project sectors, scales and procurement routes.

In 2009, Emma began working as a sole practitioner in Glasgow’s West End, specialising in bespoke domestic extensions, conversion and alterations, allowing her to develop relationships with local contractors, consultants + suppliers.

As a member of Women in Property Emma enjoys networking with like-minded people which has allowed her to develop a close network of consultants.
