George has enjoyed 15 years in architectural practice. Following completion of his studies at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in 1995, he has lead on projects of varying scale from house extensions to multi-million pound residential, commercial and custodial projects.

For the past decade George’s primary focus has been on the Residential Sector, leading teams on masterplanning projects, large scale private developments such as at the award–winning Mondriaan in Ruchill, Glasgow and on large, mixed-tenure developments at Cowdenbeath and Portree.

He has developed a firm grasp of the various standards associated with the Residential Sector, from the latest Technical Standards to Housing for Varying Needs and Secured by Design; and has a keen understanding of materials, construction detailing and CAD techniques.

Through working with a number of Housing Associations, he is skilled at presenting at committee meetings, public ‘open days’, residents consultation groups, maintenance teams and individual tenants He is also adept at negotiations with various stakeholders such as Planning, Historic Scotland, Building Control, Fire Brigade, Police (Secured by Design), local councillors etc.

In 2009, George became an examiner with APEAS for the Part 3 Examination in Professional Practice and Management for Architecture.
